The revolutionary 2B Sure electrical antifouling system, which prevents underwater growth without painting. The 2B Sure system does not need any direct contact with the hull. It is easy to transport and the only contact with the vessel is through its connection to the power source. The system can be operated using either a 240V or 12V power supply. The power requirement is minimal and a small battery powered by a small solar panel is all that is required when using the 12V system. The complete set-up consists of a control unit, two copper electrodes three power cables and requires two lengths of rope to suspend the electrodes into the water. The system functions as follows: The electrodes are suspended just below the waterline, one from the bow and one from the stern. They are connected to a control unit which, once activated, feeds electrical current into the anodes thus releasing copper ions into the water. These ions distribute evenly forming a cloud with a radius of up to 20 metres in sea water. This cloud creates an under water environment which prevents the growth of micro organisms The 2B Sure system works independently of the hull to be protected. This means it works well on any hull material and has no effect on zinc anodes.
