Poole, Dorset (UK) January 9th, 2012 - VersaDock announces completion its latest major new installation at the RNLI College at Poole.

The project provides drive on docking for 6 of the College's Atlantic 85 Class lifeboats and also 6 D Class. 10 docks are joined together in an impressive single bank with the two remaining docks configured in tandem.
The new facility allows for the RNLI College boats to be safely stored out of the water, with the return on the investment being provided by the substantial reduction in ongoing maintenance costs. At the same time, all boats are ready for immediate launch and deployment.

Versadock were able to meet the demanding delivery schedule requires from their substantial UK stock and completed the installation in two days.

Glen Mallen, All Weather Lifeboat Training Manager at RNLI, commented: "Following a very short lead-in period and swift negotiations regarding the best design and layout for the RNLI needs, Versadock managed to bring the project of supplying and installing the training department's required docking system in a very tight timescale. This system has been selected by the RNLI to reduce the maintenance costs of the fleet of Training Inshore Lifeboats based at the RNLI College."

In addition, VersaDock have also recently installed a dock for the Newlyn RNLI station for their Inshore Rescue Boat.
